Celebrating local history through a digital lens
Ipswich Museum preserves centuries of local history, archaeology, and culture. The museum needed a website that could showcase exhibitions, collections, and visitor information with accessibility and ease of use at its core.
Challenge
The previous site was outdated and difficult to update. The museum required a flexible content management system that would support multimedia exhibits and align with local authority accessibility standards.
Solution
We delivered a custom WordPress theme using ACF and the block editor to allow curators to build pages for exhibitions, galleries, and events with minimal effort. The design focused on legibility, navigation simplicity, and responsive layout to serve visitors on all devices.
Outcome
The site brings Ipswich Museum’s collections to life online -accessible, informative, and easy for staff to manage and grow over time.
